I have been a clinical social worker for over 10 years, working in oncology at Massachusetts General Hospital, as well as The Wellness Room. I help people cope with anxiety, depression, life transitions, and LGBT issues, with a special interest in providing support through the uncertainty of a medical diagnosis, treatment, and end-of-life issues. I also walk beside people as they cope with grief and bereavement. If it resonates with the person, I have experience leading mindfulness meditation sessions, which has been proven to alleviate stress and anxiety.
It is my hope to provide a warm and comforting place for you to share whatever burdens you. Together, we will collaborate to find ways of alleviating whatever weighs on your mind. I have always considered it a great honor and priviledge to be doing the work I love. Thank you for allowing me to share this space with you.
When meeting in person is possible, and only after discussing it with the client, I use my registered therapy dog, Toby. I like to say that he models the compassion and relaxation we can also strive for.
